Christine’s journey with Copeland began two decades ago as an intern, when the company was part of a global conglomerate. While completing her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration at Saint Louis University, she was offered a post-graduation role in the company’s global real estate transactions and environmental affairs team. Over the past 20 years, Carney grew alongside the Copeland business and helped with Copeland’s divestiture to a standalone company in 2023.

Since becoming a standalone company, Christine’s commitment to positioning Copeland’s legal and compliance function as a strategic business partner has been transformational. Under her leadership, Copeland has a unified global team and fostered a culture of collaboration and efficiency that has driven substantial value for the company. The team significantly reduced outside legal fees year-over-year while delivering additional annualized savings with lean approaches to legal operations.
