Kronoterm and Copeland drive climate-friendly heat pump solution
Challenge: Kronoterm, a European heat pump pioneer, needed a more sustainable solution. Their goal was to adopt a refrigerant with a lower-GWP for their residential heat pumps, aligning with their commitment to environmental responsibility and future-proofing their technology.
Solution: Copeland worked with Kronoterm to integrate R-290, a natural refrigerant, into their systems. Using Copeland's optimized R-290 scroll compressor, drive, controller and flow controls, Kronoterm successfully launched a new line of high-efficiency, climate-friendly heat pumps for the European market.
Redefining sustainable heating with R-290 heat pump innovation
Challenge: Weishaupt, a German heating technology leader, sought to develop a new air-to-water heat pump using a natural refrigerant. The goal was to meet market demand for sustainable residential heating solutions while achieving top-tier efficiency and low noise levels, reinforcing their quality standards.
Solution: Copeland provided its advanced variable speed scroll compressor optimized for R-290 with qualified variable speed drive and superheat envelope controller. This technology enabled Weishaupt to launch a highly efficient, ultra-quiet heat pump, setting new performance benchmarks in the European market and advancing the transition to climate-friendly heating.
Streamlining operations and boosting satisfaction with smart thermostat standardization
Challenge: Wilson Plumbing & Heating faced issues with carrying the right models and parts when installing other brands' thermostats. Technicians often had to leave job sites to retrieve additional items, frustrating customers and reducing revenue per truck.
Solution: To address this, the company standardized its thermostat offering by adopting the Sensi Touch 2 as its primary model. This simplified inventory management and enabled technicians to resolve issues on the first visit, ensuring first-call resolution for all Sensi products. Now, Wilson Plumbing & Heating is equipping all crews with Sensi smart thermostats, leading to improved business performance and higher customer satisfaction.
Copeland delivers personalized comfort for modern homes
Challenge: A 350m² modern duplex in Yangzhou required an advanced and reliable climate solution. The system needed to provide efficient, quiet, year-round heating, cooling and hot water across diverse zones with personalized control to ensure comfort for a multigenerational family.
Solution: Copeland introduced a Sensi Hydro air-source heat pump as the system's core, seamlessly integrating six specialized indoor units, including five ultra-thin models and one kitchen-specific unit. Ten thermostats enable precise, independent zone control for year-round comfort.
