How is biogas upgraded to pipeline-quality RNG?
Raw biogas is boosted and dehydrated, then contaminants like hydrogen sulfide and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are removed, then the biogas is compressed and passed through purification processes that remove CO2. If Nitrogen and Oxygen are present, Nitrogen and Oxygen removal is then required. The final step is product gas compression to pipeline pressure or CNG.
