The 550 is our highest pressure reciprocating compressor, best suited for applications using CO2 as a refrigerant. CO2 systems can be completely CO2, or used in a cascade system, ideally with another natural refrigerant such as ammonia. CO2 systems can deliver very high performance, efficiency, and lowered ammonia charge.
