Sensi™ Smart Thermostat Expands Offering with Two New Design-Forward Models and Room Sensors

New products from Copeland are backed by decades of expertise and a focus on personal data privacy, so homeowners can reap the benefits of smart thermostat technology with confidence

ST. LOUIS (June 12, 2023) – Copeland, a global provider of sustainable climate solutions, has expanded its line of Sensi smart thermostats– highly rated for both residential and light commercial building applications – with the Sensi Lite smart thermostat, Sensi Touch 2 smart thermostat and Sensi room sensors.

“Our new Sensi Lite and Touch 2 models enable our customers to achieve energy saving benefits with the ability to control settings anytime, anywhere while Sensi room sensors offer a customizable solution for balancing and prioritizing temperature within specific areas of the home”, said Craig Rossman, president of Comfort Control for Copeland. “These solutions help instill confidence in homeowners, as they are backed by over 100 years of HVAC experience and a commitment to data privacy.”

Industry-leading product design

Both the Sensi Touch 2 and Sensi Lite models were designed with consumer preferences in mind. According to recent studies1, both smart thermostats were preferred by consumers over all major competitors in their comparable price ranges. The Sensi Touch 2 model is the industry’s thinnest smart thermostat, providing a low profile on the wall, while both feature a sleek glass display.

Sensi Lite smart thermostat offers a simple, easy-to-use functionality on the wall, with all the same features as the Touch 2 model in the mobile app. Combined with the lower price point, the Sensi Lite model will help expand the smart thermostat category, making it easier for customers looking to upgrade from a traditional thermostat.

Future-forward technology – without sacrificing privacy

With growing consumer concerns around data privacy, Sensi smart thermostats recently announced the findings of their smart home data privacy study where they found protecting personal data was a key concern for 80 percent of surveyed homeowners2. To address concerns related to data privacy, across the entire Sensi smart thermostat portfolio, personal data is not sold and thermostat activity data is not leveraged for targeting or advertising purposes, so homeowners can take advantage of the energy-savings benefits of smart thermostats without compromising their data.

Simple installation and control, even on the go

The top-rated Sensi mobile app for iOS and Android provides step-by-step instructions for installation and on-the-go access, allowing users to adjust Sensi Touch 2 and Sensi Lite smart thermostats from anywhere, anytime. Most homeowners are able to install Sensi Touch 2 and Sensi Lite smart thermostats in 30 minutes or less. Homeowners also have access to the Sensi Support Team seven days a week. The Sensi Lite model requires no common wire with most systems, making installation even easier.

Give homeowners more control over their HVAC system

Sensi Touch 2 smart thermostat is also compatible with the new Sensi room sensor, which remotely monitors temperature and humidity levels. Room sensors can also be used to prioritize temperatures in key rooms or, when using multiple sensors can balance temperatures across the entire home, helping to reduce hot or cold spots. Using Sub-GHz technology to connect to the thermostat, Sensi room sensor range is greatly increased compared to that of similar competitor Bluetooth sensors.

Delivering comfort while reducing costs and energy

With Sensi Touch 2 and Sensi Lite thermostats, users can save about 23% on the energy used to power their heating and cooling system3. Sensi smart thermostat was the first smart thermostat to win ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year. Additionally, both the Sensi Touch 2 and Sensi Lite models work with utility programs across the country where customers can receive rebates and incentives while also helping to reduce stress on the grid and drive more clean energy.

The new Sensi smart thermostats and room sensors are available at major retailers, utility marketplaces, through HVAC contractors and at sensi.copeland.com.
