Emerson partners with ISHRAE to launch the RefCold India Emerson Awards 2019

Invites nominations for Innovative Cold Chain, Refrigeration projects and products

The Indian growth story will never be complete without a strong Cold Chain Industry; acting as a backbone to safeguard and preserve food & other perishables. It has risen to the occasion with improved technologies and processes to ensure better storage, processing and transportation facility for perishable goods. The industry has taken steps in improving its ability to maintain the shelf life of fresh products and in preserving foods at optimum temperature with energy efficient technologies from farm to the fork. In the coming years, it is envisaged there will be a substantial reduction in food wastage and an appreciable increase in farmers’ disposable income, because of efforts made by government and various stakeholders.

RefCold Emerson Awards 2019

The industry’s growth has received a further fillip with the RefCold Emerson India Awards. The 2^nd edition of the competition has been launched by Emerson in conjunction with ISHRAE and Nurnberg Messe. It is an annual award to promote innovation and usage of latest technologies across the spectrum of verticals like Frozen Foods, Hospitality, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, Dairy, Ice Cream, Reefer Transportation etc. This will be a valuable platform for cold chain professionals to showcase their innovative prowess and ability to transform using new and emerging technologies, that can drive the industry towards a progressive future. The winners will be declared at a grand ceremony that will be held at the Novotel Convention Center, Hyderabad on Thursday, 21^stNov, 2019.

Award Categories :

The Refcold Emerson Awards 2019 will have three Award categories with each category having a winner and a runner-up:

• Innovative Refrigeration Projects -Winner & Runners Up

  This award category is open for Refrigeration Projects/Plants that have been set up anywhere in India during the past 5 years.

• Innovative Cold Chain Infrastructure Projects -Winner & Runners Up

  This award category is focusing on projects which pertain to the development of cold chain infrastructure such as pack houses, perishable processing centers, reefer vehicles, material handling, food tracing and IOT systems etc. (Not restricted to refrigeration systems)

• Innovative Refrigeration Products – Winner & Runners Up

  This award category is for innovative refrigeration or non-refrigeration products either manufactured or imported into India and are commercially available in the country.

How to send in your nomination: 

The RefCold Emerson Awards follows a two-stage application process. The applicants need to fill in basic details of the nominated project/ product in the nomination form given below and submit. These will be evaluated by the RefCold Emerson Awards Technical committee.  
Only shortlisted entries will need to fill the detailed form that requires additional information to be given. These nominations will be evaluated by a jury comprised of eminent experts from the Cold Chain & Refrigeration industry. They may also need to answer any queries that the jury may have over a telephone call or during a site visit.
