Driving demand response sign-ups for a Midwest utility
Challenge: Managing energy use and maintaining customer satisfaction are critical concerns for Ameren Missouri. After two successful years of their annual customer programs, Ameren and Copeland needed a third custom offer to outdo previous smart thermostat offers while also supporting Ameren’s sustainability goals and maintaining customer satisfaction and enrollment momentum amid broad customer exposure.
Solution: Partnering with Copeland enabled Ameren to deliver two annual customer programs aimed at delivering key program goals. With its integration partner, we created a compelling offer that included Copeland’s Sensi smart thermostat solution, stacking attractive prices onto a rebate for participating in the demand response program. Partnership and expert collaboration helped energize their demand response program, driving sign-ups of over 8,000 customers.
Driving efficiency at Hilton Garden Inn
Challenge: The Hilton Garden Inn Boston/Waltham needed to reduce operational costs and improve energy efficiency during a major renovation. The challenge was to implement sustainable upgrades that ensured year-round guest comfort while maximizing ROI by leveraging state rebate programs.
Solution: By installing Verdant smart thermostats, the hotel leveraged our expertise to secure a state rebate, cutting system costs by 20%. This strategic move, combined with an average 34.3% HVAC runtime reduction, led to $2,850 in average monthly savings and delivered a full return on investment in just 15 months.
Transforming dairy farm methane to clean fuel
Challenge: Aemetis Biogas faced operational inefficiencies and high downtime costs at dairy digester sites due to unreliable compressors and lack of remote monitoring. Compressor issues impeded biogas conversion, risking $4,000–$9,000 in daily losses while requiring onsite troubleshooting.
Solution: Copeland's Vilter compression technology resolved these issues with industry-leading reliability and remote-control capabilities. The Vilter systems delivered over 98% uptime reliability at digesters and 99% at the RNG facility, enabling lower operational costs and scalability for future expansions.
