From the beginning, mechanical expansion valves and regulators have been used in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. Today, installations require better energy efficiency, more precise temperature control, wider operating ranges, and incorporate remote monitoring and diagnostic functions, the use of electronic valves is becoming essential. They offer the regulation performance, required by the systems. Electronic valves are not autonomous but necessarily controlled. You will learn everything there is to know about installing and programming modules and putting them into operation.

In this training, you will learn how our Copeland compressor electronics technology (formerly CoreSense) uses the compressor as a sensor to monitor and interpret compressor and system information. In addition, you will learn how to analyze and understand the system, how it operates, and better understand what is occurring to the compressor. This training will showcase how our compressor electronics technology gives technicians insight into the system through the compressor, providing valuable information to help diagnose problems quickly and accurately, reducing costly call backs.

This training will review key troubleshooting steps related to the electrical operation of scroll compressors. By reviewing the design and functionality of compressor components, you’ll become familiar with helpful strategies for diagnosing and correcting issues.

Familiarity with the lubrication process in refrigerant cooled semi-hermetic compressors can help technicians better understand compressor operation and assist in system troubleshooting. In this session, we’ll review the design of these compressors as well as discuss how to diagnose issues such as low oil pressure and pressurized crankcase.
