Copeland drives data center efficiency for China Mobile
Challenge: China Mobile required an advanced cooling solution for its Zhangjiakou data center. The system needed to deliver exceptional energy and water efficiency to lower power usage effectiveness (PUE), reduce operational costs and uphold its commitment to sustainable operations, even in extreme conditions.
Solution: Copeland and Canatal delivered an integrated solution combining Canatal's air conditioners with Copeland's ZDV variable speed compressors. A heat recovery module, low WUE design and Copeland's technical expertise achieved an annual energy efficiency ratio of 12.5W/W and a PUE below 1.25, ensuring reliable, adaptable performance.
Partnership delivers breakthrough data center cooling reliability, simplicity and sustainability
Challenge: Ecochillers, a North American manufacturer of commercial and industrial cooling and heating solutions, heat pumps and air handlers, sought a partner to help accelerate the development of a new chiller up to 300 tons, targeting mission-critical, free cooling in data center applications.
Solution: Ecochillers selected Copeland as a partner for its new Lev-Air® chiller, leveraging the innovative Copeland oil-free centrifugal compressor with Aero-Lift™ bearing technology. Copeland’s oil-free centrifugal compressor supported Echochillers’ goal for application simplicity, enabling the compressor to operate without reliance on complex electromagnetics, proximity sensors and complex controls.
