Discover how Copeland is shaping a sustainable future with our Global Impact Report.
At Copeland, our mission of Purpose, Performance and People is the foundation for making our vision a reality. We are dedicated to addressing global sustainability challenges with innovative compression technologies and controls solutions that reduce environmental impact, promote energy efficiency, advance the transition to low-GWP and natural refrigerants and safeguard perishable food and medicines through an efficient cold chain.
We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint while embedding integrity, transparency and accountability into our responsible business practices. By empowering our approximately 18,000 colleagues worldwide, we foster ownership, inclusion and engagement.
In FY25, Copeland built on this foundation by accelerating innovation, delivering measurable environmental progress and deepening colleague engagement across the globe. FY25 Highlights

From our CEO
As our company continues to evolve and grow, we remain committed to our focus on sustainability, accountability and transparency. We are confident that through our focus on innovation, operational efficiency and collaboration, we will continue our progress toward our sustainability goals, and, very importantly, further strengthen our contributions to creating a better world, today and for future generations.
Our environmental impact
Copeland is advancing a practical, measurable approach to environmental stewardship across our operations and value chain. Our focus is clear: improve energy efficiency, decarbonize operations, expand renewable energy use, reduce waste, conserve water and design products that help customers lower emissions at scale.
Copeland’s pathway toward our SBTi targets

In FY25, we validated our goals with the Science Based Targets initiative to reduce absolute GHG emissions by 55% for Scope 1 and 2 and by 32.5% for Scope 3, using FY23 as a baseline. To support these goals, we are building emissions reduction into capital planning and operating rhythms across the business.
Key actions include:
- Shifting to lower-GWP and natural refrigerants
- Conducting 2 to 4 energy kaizens each year
- Upgrading equipment to more efficient alternatives
- Expanding onsite renewables and renewable electricity procurement where feasible
